CANCELLED Filey Folk Festival
FILEY FOLK FESTIVAL was founded in 2004 by Robert Hartley, (with help from Filey Folk Club regulars Alan & Poppy Scott-Hallgate). It is one of the mainstays of this North Yorkshire seaside town's musical year. Expect a broad range in styles of acoustic folk, blues, traditional, country, a bit of acoustic rock & pop and a very warm welcome and famously friendly atmosphere. You can catch well over 100 acts performing live at the participating venues and also busking around the seaside town. The Pub/Café/Restaurant gigs run all weekend and admission is FREE for everyone.
There are also pay on the door/ticketed concerts at the EVRON CENTRE CONCERT HALL, plus the unique atmosphere of shows at the MASONIC HALL. Prices are fairly nominal and are anything from FREE for daytime shows to £12 for special guest evening concerts.
